I have not been updating enough..Ending NOW!

This week I have been even more obsessed with the south/Birmingham than before. Mainly because it is spring now and everything is looking so beautiful and it feels so great outside.
A few things that top the list are
~Azulas and dog woods you have not experienced the south until you see all these beautiful flowers in bloom EVERYWHERE..this weekend I cut tons of them and filled up the trunk of my car and made about 6 flower arrangements for my apartment this afternoon. Margaret just screamed good night to me from next door and commented about how much she loves her flowers. I am not giving myself props just saying they will brighten anyones day.
Also true story-I used to carry my back pack along with clippers inside to school on days when they first bloomed at Auburn and cut them from the side of Samford University. This is the most treasured place on campus and FOR SURE was not meant to be used as my personal garden. I would wait til no one was walking by and snip snip and stuff into my back pack and then try and look inocent and walk on back to gay street. Probably if I was not in a hurry I would stop by Big Blue Bagel for a salt bagel and bagel chips.
~Lake martin is BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!
As the saying goes you don;t know how much you love something til its lost. Well last year we basically lost the lake.  I could not even believe my eyes when I saw it at full level this weekend. It was enough to bring tears to my eyes. We enjoyed the lake all day Sunday.  Ashley and I got the jet ski in the water so we could get our first dose of lakie activities.  That was quite a task though.  It was mainly the same problem that always occurs we could not find the combo for the lock of the trailer that holds the se-du. So after ripping about the house, cussing a few times and trying random numbers the WE SWORE were part of it we decided to take matters into our own hands and break the lock. I found a wrench and suggested we might as well try and bust it.  As we slammed the wrench onto the lock Ashley kept saying this things has to break kids break into other kids lockers all the time!" Well it finally we worked and we did a little victory shouting and dancing and went off to put it in. I am proud to say that I was brave and jumped into the chili water. Anyone who has ever met me knows how much I hate coldness but if it has to do with water activities I am willing to sacrifice.  I had a great time skiing and all in all the whole trip was a success!
~Southern Food
Part of our weekend was working all day Sat for Southern Hospitality a catering service that some of us worked for in Auburn.  It is one of my favorite jobs because I get to learn how to prepare all kinds of food, work with hilarious people, observe weddings, get paid and eat alot of delicious food. I tried fried oysters on sat just for the experience. they were very fishy and I did not enjoy them.  The highlight though was probably our car ride home where I listened to a fifty something and sixty something man talk about the good old days in the south which consisted of drinking beer, fishing and sniffing ether. Got to love it here.

I have alot more very exciting events this month that I am looking forward to such as
THE WOOD PLACE-My friend Marens family farm. It is pretty much as southern as it gets and will no doubt get a whole post along with pictures...I will make it a goal and to do list item how to upload pix for the occasion(I also ordered a new digital camera today!!!)

LOW-The Hills is suxy the only good thing about it lately is Spencer my favorite line tonight was
I am sorry that you are making yourself cry.
he could not of been more Spencerish tonight and I loved every second of it...that and the 12 texts I got from Katie while watching it...Mary Pat would of probably made it 20 texts but she is on vacation

This is what I have been up to.

So I easily get very into things.  However these three things are all things that I feel very passionately about and can not wait for them all the come out/start.  I am not a Crazy sex and the city fan though I have seen them all multiply times. I really do like them all and the movie trailer makes me very senti-mental about true friends.  It helps that the movie is coming out in MAY(my favorite month).  Check it out because even if you do not want to see the movie the trailer song is so good!.  The second is a U-tube movie I got from Ashley that I and many others think is so FUNNY! I mean it is every thing any guy has probably has or will have their girlfriend say to them.  and the third is of course one of my book series obession..The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants. I know they may be YA books. But for anyone who read the last one they will know it was hardly YA.  They are such great books and really get to me. I think i love them cuz all the girls I lived with by senior year read them..but I think everyone should because they are amazing!  I am so excited for this book to come out because it is a combination of a couple of books. I love/hate that I know Blake L. will be the one drawing everyone to this movie.  I want sisterhoood to get all the credit it deserves but this was her thing before my fav GOSSIP GIRL...Anyways it is still just as great and will make you love your girlfriends that much more. I wish that everyone can see it with one of their B.F.F. E.A. E.(best friends for ever and ever) hah XOOXO

All you really need is Friends

This past week was an emotional time for alot of my best friends. With out getting into too much personal information my friends all had a rough week.  On sat night Margaret, Maren  and I made some homemade pizzas and were hanging out.  Our friend Quint showed up after being in Chicago(Hinsdale) for his Grandpas funeral and we could not of been more excited to see him.  Maren actually surprised him and it was the one of the best surprises I have ever seen.  Probably because almost every surprise I have ever tried to pull off never has quite worked out the way I planned it in my head (Ashley Palm in S.C., Billy at his rest.) but anyways it was adorable. Quint was so thankful to be with us and while thanking us all of us girls starting crying...well maybe that was just me.  But while crying I came to the realization that no matter how much life sux at times when you are with your best friends it just seems that much more bitter sweet. We were all hugging and I just started balling. I love having friends that at any time of the day will come out from the wood works and be there for you. I have always thought that line "be there for you" was cliche but I do not know any other way to put it.  It was one of those moments I will always remember.  I was just being a friend at that moment to someone who has always be such a great friend to me.  I put that moment up there with the one I had this past summer.  I was in the car  driving to Panera in Auburn with Maren and some other castle girls while we listened to Rascal Flatts and all hysterically crying..cuz i quote the one line from the song MY WISH~that reminds me of college all the time.  It is "and when you're out there getting where you;re getting to I hope you know somebody loves you and wants the same things too"  I think that line sums up college and how important it is to know that sometimes the best thing you can do is let your friends be a shoulder to lean on and know that there are people out there wishing the best for you!

Great times

This past week has been so great...
I went to Atlanta to visit Abby and Lori and had the best time.  We got to go to fun dinners and have lots of quality time. We spent alot of the weekend drinking wine and getting excited for the wedding! Whoot Whoot Sam and Abby are getting married in September. On my great trip in Atlanta I got a call from kathryn(ashleys bestie) informing me that her mom and her were going to be making there way to Charleston, SC on sat. I was totally unprepared for the trip since I thought i was meeting up with Ashley the weekend after.  This seems normal since for my two hour drive to Atlanta on Thursday I talked to Ashley for a majority of the time telling her how excited I was about going to see Abby and spending the weekend in Atlanta.  Well she claims this never crossed her mind. Anyways all worked out and actually for the best cuz  Atlanta is actually half way from Birmingham to Charleston SO we were able to meet up in Columbia and spend an amazing weekend in Charleston.  The trip was all I wanted it to be and more. I am so refreshed by amazing weekend visits with my best friends.  Even if they do keep me up all night like Ashley like to do.   I love road trip so much. I love talking on my phone for hours and blasting music.  The bad part is that I spend the whole time traveling there anticipating my trip and the whole trip back being sad about that the trip is over. However I have taught myself to spend the journey back being thankful for the amazing times and not dwelling on when or how long til they will happen once more.  However these kinds of weekend trips are what make me never want to move from Birmingham cuz I am right in the middle of visiting alot of people that I love so much!

so..

My blog has only been going for two days and it is already getting lots of criticism.   Of course from who else then THE BLOGGER Jake Turner Bartlow. Though he does not want to blog anymore he wants me to know that my blog is not how he would like. I am not sure that he would like anything but he wanted me to know that,"Margo. nothing I write and post is a rant.  It's highly thought out and edited.  It' s also very funny, intelligent, and interesresting, which is why a lot of people read about it and ask for more.  It's different than just talking about a couple of primetime soaps in a whimsical manner.

I tried to claim that this was not a rant and more so a girls idea on a topic.  No such luck I guess I will just have to wish upon the next shooting star to wish to be/do something that Jake finds impressive.  Love ya

I'm sorry to say...

That I did not call One Tree Hill to be one of my favorite shows but it is!  Unlike every other teen drama I have ever been into I have called before I started watching it for example
*90210(Probably should not of been watching this at such a young age but I had Mary Pat to get me into it along with My So Called Life
*Party of 5
*Dawsons Creek
*O.C.
*Friday Night Lights
*Gossip Girl
*Felicity(can't actually call this one cuz a best friend (Ashley) turned me onto this claiming I would relate it to my own life obessively which I did)
Like a music snob I am proud to say that all of these other shows that turned into a hit I called from the start and made it my goal to make all my other friends as into it as I was.  Then when they were turned on I would remind them time and time again about how I was the one who turned them onto it and of course had watched it from the pilot rather then when it started to be called the hit show and the stars were all over U.S. Weekly and other similar magazines.
Anyways back to the topic I think I love One Tree Hill for a few reasons.  For starters I will admit that this fifth season is the first one I have watched regularly. I saw a few eps here and there in the past and basically got the idea about who was who with the characters and plot. However this fifth season is great because they skipped all of college and flashed forward to right after college. Though it is so unreal that everyone accomplished their goals immediately in the four years of college it is still great. It is pretty much a whole season of the series finale of Dawsons Creek. We all know and if you don't I am not ashamed to say that I watch the Dawsons Creek series finale like a movie.  No joke I have probably seen it twenty plus times.  Anyways I get very senti-mental about all the high school friends coming to their wits about moving back to their own small made up home town Tree Hill. I imagine Tree Hill as a town similar to my own home town Hinsdale.  It is a much prettier version but still strikes something inside of me.  I think everyone should jump on the band wagon and watch it.  For the soul purpose that all the episodes are on cw online and FREE!  Tonights episode was better than I imagined and I am eagerly awaiting next week.  It really is taking my mind of the writers strike that is making me and millions of others very unhappy.  I can't take another recap episode of Gossip Girl...because of course please...I did not miss an episode all season and if I would have I have the most amazing website  thanks to Leslie to update me

Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday and I plan on giving up
*Sweets and limiting myself to one diet coke a day-I gave up pizza for about ten years straight but I figured I should pick something new these days
